T-17.IV.9-11 - Look at the picture, and realize that death is offered you.
We find here one of the strongest of Jesus' pleas in A Course In Miracle, wherein he asks us to LOOK at the mind's guilt.... he is teaching us that the bodily frame is a defense against death itself (ideas leave not their source). This, however, does not mean we should feel guilty because of our special relationships. Indeed, we were born creatures of specialness, and though it is in our DNA, we do not have to be bound by it. Rising above the world with Jesus beside us, we return to the mind that transcends our genetic structure. We cannot reach that decision-making point, though, until we first LOOK at the ego's special relationships without judgment & guilt, and do not seek to justify, rationalize, or spiritualize our mistaken choices.
